Artist Training Grounds VII Day 5 - Draw a pony in the Twilight Zone
Hahah, get it? Twilight Zone, meaning a place where you have to deal with Twilight's obsession with books! I'm sure no one else will make that joke today.
I find it odd that I've found an excuse to draw Rainbow Dash three days in a row. Not that I don't like drawing her, but in the past I feel like I easily found another pony to put in the situation given by the prompt. I've never done the same pony three times to my knowledge. In any case, I actually planned for this to be Rainbow dealing with multiple versions of Twilight, book obsessed Twi, crazed Twi, anxious Twi, etc but I ended up using too much space with just one Twilight and I was too far in to redo it. And in the end, while it's only a small piece of what I truly wanted to do, I like where it ended up all things considered.
Another thing that I want to point out is that I think I might make it a point to keep the sketch lines in my sketches now just because I've always felt that when I erase the sketch lines and make the ink the only part you can see, the drawing doesn't look as good; but maybe that's just me. Another reason is that I think my scans look better when I keep the sketch lines in. This is only the first sketch that I've scanned like this in a while, but I'll find out for sure later down the line with future sketches.
